About
Bike Teacher is an Independent Bike Mechanic School Offering High-Quality Mechanic Education in Silicon Valley.
My name is Arthur Rodriguez, and I founded Bike Teacher in San Jose, California in 2014. I’ve been involved with bikes for over 20 years, as a mechanic, road and mountain biker, and occasional racer. Throughout my time in the industry, I’ve seen and worked w has shown me the joy of fixing something with my own knowledge and skill, and my life as a bike rider has shown me how impactful cycling can be for your body and mind. Helping others get rolling again, and giving them the tools to fix their own bikes- I can’t think of a more fulfilling way to earn a living.
Bike Teacher started as an individual approach to teaching bicycle repair, but has since evolved into a complete bike mechanic school, offering classes to every level of bike-lover. I believe that anyone with the desire to educate themselves about bike repair, adjustments, and builds can become a competent mechanic. I am proud to share my skills and help others to learn the joy of fixing your bike with your own two hands.
One of my most favorite moments in teaching bicycle mechanics is the moment they realize they had just accomplished what they once thought was impossible. Seeing the smile on their faces and hearing the joy in their voice- it’s instant gratification!
